What is your position at Zennify and what do you do?

I'm a Portfolio Director. I oversee a portfolio of client accounts and work directly with our project teams to ensure client satisfaction, successful project execution, and ongoing professional development across a large team of consultants.

How long have you been working with Zennify?

I've been with Zennify for two and a half years.

How has Zennify supported you in your career goals?

Zennify has given me incredible opportunity to thrive. There is always a new challenge or task to tackle, either to improve operations at Zennify, to turn a satisfied client into a thrilled client, or to develop myself or a colleague in unexpected ways. Because Zennify is growing quickly, I have been able to hone a range of professional skills that are setting me up for ongoing success, in the areas of leadership, operations, client relations, project management, and of course technical Salesforce skills!

What has your journey with Zennify looked like?

I started at Zennify leading a few smaller projects then quickly moved into leading one of our biggest projects at the time. Once it wrapped up, I took on more of an oversight role, where I am guiding and mentoring the teams leading the projects. It's been a fast progression that has been incredibly rewarding and fun.

What’s your favorite part of working for Zennify?

I love how each day is different and how there is always a new opportunity to work with a variety of people to creatively solve problems. Because we are working with an ever-changing technology like Salesforce, we are constantly blazing new trails and thinking of unique ways to address business problems. It's inherently challenging and rewarding, and sometimes a little scary! It's always fun, though, to work alongside our clients on ambitious projects, where we are constantly entering uncharted territory where the best solutions have not yet been mapped - by anyone!

How has Zennify grown since you’ve been here?

When I first started at Zennify, it felt like there were just a handful of people working on Delivery; everyone knew what everyone was working on, and in some way or another were familiar with all our clients and projects. Now it's to the point where it's impossible to stay on top of everything going on. It's a great testament to the quality of people we've hired when you can say, 'I don't know what that team is doing over there, but I know they're doing it well!!'

What does your average day look like?

Every day is different for me. I have a couple of projects I'm involved with more directly, so sometimes my day is very project oriented, where I'm working closely with the team on project deliverables. Other days I am more focused on my portfolio of accounts, assessing bigger trends, strategies, and opportunities. Sprinkled throughout nearly every day are my 'side projects' to improve our delivery standards, working with our leadership team to define best practices, establish standards, and help our entire team with resources and tools to make their jobs easier.


What advice do you have to other's who are considering a career in this industry?

The role of a Salesforce consultant requires you to always be looking ahead, anticipating client and project needs, thinking of creative ways to apply the technology and to work proactively with a group of people to deliver awesome products and services. It's not a job to take if you're looking to 'coast'. Be prepared to stretch yourself on a daily basis and to work with incredibly smart and hard-working people who will drive you to perform your best work every day!
