A note from Chris Conant
When I tell people what I do for a living, I usually say I help companies actually use the technology they buy. Not just deploy it, but use it in ways that make the people who work there more effective and the customers and communities they serve better off for it. That's the work I've been doing in one form or another for twenty years, and it's the work I'm about to keep doing, just in a different seat.
As of June, I'm stepping down as CEO of Zennify and joining Anthropic as Global Head of Strategic Deployments and Customer Success. I'll be leading their post-sale teams globally, helping enterprises adopt Claude in ways that actually move their business forward.
Three years ago, I made a bet.
I believed AI was going to reshape the consulting industry in ways most firms weren't prepared for, and that the firms that built real capability early would end up in a fundamentally different position than the firms that waited. Nobody knew exactly how it would unfold, but I knew the firms that did the real work, rather than bolting AI onto a slide, would be the ones our customers needed most when the moment arrived.
Today, I think that bet was right. What I see is a firm that thinks differently. The team here doesn’t treat AI as a feature to add to a proposal. They treat it as the way work gets done, the way clients get served, the way problems get solved faster and more effectively. That kind of shift can't be faked. It has to be built, year over year. That's what this team did, and it's why our customers can trust us with the work that matters most.
What's next
Stepping away from a company you've helped build isn't something you do lightly. But the work I'm leading at Anthropic is the same work I've been doing at Zennify, helping enterprises actually absorb AI in ways that are safe, useful, and trustworthy, especially in the industries where the stakes are highest. The difference is the scale and the seat. I've spent my whole career helping companies cross that gap, and this is the chance to keep doing it at a different altitude.
Which brings me to Michael Rouleau, who becomes Zennify's CEO on June 1. Mike and I have worked together for more than a decade, going back to our Salesforce days. One of the first things I did when I joined Zennify was bring him in, because I knew the work ahead was bigger than any one person. Everything you see at Zennify today, the operational rigor, the focus, the culture, has Mike's fingerprints on it. For our customers and partners, the firm you've trusted is the firm that'll keep showing up for you. Zennify's built for this moment, and Mike's the right person to lead it through.
To the people who made it
To my Zennify teammates, thank you. For the trust, the work, the hard days, the humility and conviction you bring to a kind of work that doesn't always reward either. I'll carry what I learned from you into everything I do next.
To our customers and partners, thank you for the trust you've placed in this firm. It's the thing I'm most protective of as I hand the baton to Mike, and I know he'll steward it the way it deserves.
See you in the next chapter of this AI story.
